Kikkerland Design was founded in 1992 by Jan van der Lande, who started the company from his houseboat in New York City. Initially, he sold unique design pieces from his designer friends in Holland, but the brand truly took off when it began producing its own innovative creations.

Today, Kikkerland is recognized as a global leader in design products, supporting independent, self-producing designers worldwide. Our 15-person in-house design team continuously develops fresh, creative solutions, including:

At Kikkerland Design we pride ourselves on giving back to local and global organizations,

Since 2009 we have invited some of the top design academies in the world to engage in our annual Design Challenge. 

The purpose of the competition is to:

• Engage with and promote talented young designers by taking their design ideas from prototype to market

• Introduce fresh, diverse and original new designs to the Kikkerland product line
